So This Is What It’s Like

To have a baseball team that’s winning baseball games. My Colorado Rockies are 2 1/2 games back with 7 games remaining, but no matter what happens, they’ll end the season with a winning record for the first time since 2000. They also are set to finish as high as 3rd, something they haven’t done since 1997 (when the NL West had only 4 teams.)

    Matt Holliday is the man. Too bad Todd Helton’s power days are done. I’d love to see the Rockies make some noise in the near future.

    Holliday is the man, you’re right. Hopefully, he’ll be back on Tuesday in LA. But the Rockies are now 1 1/2 games out after today’s win and the Rocks have a new all-time season win record (84). Though the cynical part of me expects the wheels to fall off and the Rockies to walk away with only 86 wins, it’ll be fun to see what happens.
