Statesman: Who You Gonna Believe? Us or People Who Know What They’re Talking About?
Posted by Adam Graham in : Idaho Conservative, TheThe Statesman tries to dismiss a survey from the State Bar Association by pointing out that only 9% of lawyers returned the survey for Justice Horton and only 5% graded the lesser known Judge Bradbury. Apparently, the Statesman is applying Richard Nixon’s silent majority to the bar association.
It’s not always totally wise to just go with the opposite of what the Statesman endorses, but in this case, I’d rather not have the type of activist judge the Statesman likes. Given that Judge Bradbury lists the Supreme Court Justice he admires most as Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who was the deciding vote in the Kelo decision on eminent domain, and found a constitutional right to suck out the brains of a 3/4 delivered infant, I think that any innovation brought by John Bradbury would be more than offset by the pain and division in our state that would be caused by his potential tenure.
