T-9 Days Weekend Open Trackbacks Thread

Posted by Adam Graham in : Open Trackbacks

Wow, I’m just about out of energy on Friday, but I still have 8 hours of work ahead. Youch. Anyway, I’m 9 days until the trip to Cancun and I’ve still got so much to do.

We need new shoes, the cat needs to get boarded. I’ve got to get a hold request into the post office on the mail, and I’ve got to make sure the stable of guest bloggers is ready for next week. Other than that, we’re just about done. If you’ve got a suggestion of something I need to do before I leave for Cancun, leave it in the comments. That way, I can have even more to worry about. :)

Now, welcome to today’s Open Trackback party:

1) Post about anything that’s in good taste. No porn, no spam, no profanity.

2) Send me a trackback of any tasteful post you want and as soon as I check my blog, I’ll update this post with your link provided you link back to this thread. If your software won’t allow you to send trackbacks, just use the Wizbang Standalone Pinger

3) Deadline is Sunday at 11:00 PM MDT. Further trackbacks won’t be posted after that time.

For convenience, here’s today’s link and the trackback:

All politics aside, if you have to board your cat, I recommend the Cat Dr. in Boise.

    Cat Dr. Motel

Don’t forget you need either a passport OR a birth certificate AND photo ID. You would be amazed at how many people forget that when they head out to the airport. You will be given a paper to fill out on the plane . That will be stamped when you go through immigration. Put that in a safe place as you will need it when you head home.

You never told us which resort you will be visiting . Maybe you can do a review for us .

I stayed at a few nice places in Cancun. Club med has the best piece of property there . Most of the snorkling trips go to the reef just off of the property .

BE VERY AWARE of the undertow on the main beach of Cancun. When they put out the red or black flag pay special attention . The hotels will provide you with info on the color coded flag system. If you are on the north side of the beach you will be fine . If you are staying at club med they have 3 beaches to choose from . One is extremely mild.
My wife and I are both strong swimmers. She used to be a lifeguard. But we would still avoid the main beach when the red or black flags are up.

I would gladly trade places with you .

Yikes. Immigration should read CUSTOMS. As I typed that I was listening to an argument about immigration and a Spanish version of the national anthem.
