The "policy" they found originaly was from an obscure Italian paper -- completely single-source. The USOC announced that they haven't seen anything from the Chinese Olympic organizers ever about "outlawing Bibles". On the face of it, the whole original story was ridiculous -- they agreed to abide by the Olympic Charter when bidding to hold the Games, which includes freedom of worship opportunities for all athletes. The Chinese leadership is evil, sure, but they're not stupid.

Well, Bubblehead, I read the story it's more of a clarification than a retracton. Retraction is, "Wait, this is totally false." Instead, they said they found contradictory policies. Indeed, reading it, it doesn't necessarily say the first story was wrong. The timeframe is unclear, so the decision could have been made to change the story AFTER the original article ran. Regardless, the ChiComms are little more than petty tyrants that are going to enjoy a propoganda coup with the '08 Olympics. As for Bryan Fischer, e-mail him.

CNA retracted their "Bibles outlawed" story -- on the same day your buddy Bryan Fischer made a big deal out of the original story. Wonder if Mr. Fischer will issue a retraction?
