Thank You, Governor Palin
Posted by Adam Graham in : Presidential Race 2008Coming into the GOP Convention, I didn’t plan on providing much support to the GOP ticket. I certainly wasn’t going to publicly oppose Senator McCain, but I also sure as heck wasn’t going to do a whole lot for him.
By election day, I had given money to both McCain/Palin and the RNC, and made more than 100 calls into battleground states like Minnesota, North Carolina, and New Hampshire. I received and e-mail from the campaign last weekend thanking me and stating that I was one of their top 400 callers.
The big reason is that Governor Palin sold me on the ticket. Her values, her character, and her spirit provided hope for the future of our party. Her tenacity under fire inspired folks across this nation to fight harder for John McCain than they could have ever imagined. For the first time, in a long time, we had a regular American running, rather than a creature of the beltway. My wife and I have been so excited by her candidacy we travelled 300 miles to hear her speak.
Sarah Palin didn’t ask to be VP, she was chosen because John McCain saw her potential to help the ticket. As former McCain campaign staffers disrespect not only Governor Palin, but the man who picked her with anonymous and cowardly attacks, it’s vital for conservatives to stand with Governor Palin.
Michelle Malkin has set up a site where you can say thank you for Governor Palin for her good work in this campaign. Malkin will ensure the message gets to Governor Palin, and I would encourage everyone who appreciates the effort she put up to leave an appreciative message at that site.
UPDATE:
For clarification, feel free to leave comments here, but Governor Palin will read the comments that are submitted at the link above, not here unless I’m really fortunate.

Dear Sarah Palin and First Dude, thank you for your service to our country. I went to your rally in Loveland, Colorado. I also took my 78 yr old mother. She had never been to a rally. How exciting for her and I to see you. I will vote for you anytime and anywhere. I am so proud of you that you made it through the campaign. Even though a lot of it was mean spirited, you carried on. You are an inspiration to all of us. Keep up the fight and please remember that you have many many followers now. I hope one day to get to meet you. I did get the dude’s autograph. Maybe one day, I will have yours. Take care. You have a friend. Cindy Sweeney/Castle Rock, Colorado

Governor,
You are “the light at the end of the American tunnel”. Keep honing your skills while successfully governing Alaska so that it is the envy of the “lower 48″.
After 4 years of confused and elitist meandering, the country will be ready for a straight forward fresh vision of the way out of the malaise.

Dear Governor Palin,
You are the greatest “class Act” that has come along in many years. You have our absolute admiration. My husband and I hope that you will consider “rescueing” our country after the dreadful 4 years we are to endure under the soon to be new administration. Please keep that sparkle in your eye!! You have what it takes and you are our hope for the future of our children and grand-children. Stay special!

Governor Palin,
I saw you at the Jacksonville, Florida rally I volunteered that day. You were WONDERFUL to see and listen to. You are a great example of what a real woman of our day is, a wife and mother. I’m with you there in spirit, I too have a special needs child and felt you would have been of great benefit for us in the white house, I believe you will have the chance somewhere in helping those who are raising these special little spirits.
Thanks so much for standing up for what you believe and showing your strength and courage no matter what.
God Bless you and your family,

Dear Gov Palin and family!
I am so glad you came into our lives. You are a inspiration to us all. I was so angry at the news media, and how they smeared you and your family, but this is all we can expect of them, they don’t know a brilliant person when they see one! Hanging around the liberals to long makes your brain shrink. We hope that one day we’ll get to see you in the White House. I know that day will come, you have everything it takes! May God bless you and your family always.
Happy Holidays to all.
Your Baby is precious, and your little girl is going to be just like you!

I went to the Leesburg, VA rally & it was a heart-felt, freedom loving, open & honest, inspiring, & do believe that the Best Man & Woman lost due to Election & Voter Fraud, Mainstream media bias, & money from outside the US. Believe if mainstream media had actually done their job the result would have been much different. I also believe that at some time we should have a black Prsident, just no this one. He is dishonest, has questionable friends & also believe this fix began many years ago with the Ayers, Wright, Flegher, & corrupt Chicago political climate. The FBI should continue their investigations of ACORN in every state & also NAACP (since they’ve become very low-key during this election. Don’t understand why the people have scales on their eyes!

Gov. Palin,
Thank you so much for bringing life to the Political arena. I can’t imagine how anyone can even think that you are to blame for the loss of the election. You brought such a needed spark to the party, you are the reason I voted for the McCain-Palin ticket. I am a registered Democrat and I am 76 yrs old, but your wholesomeness and views changed my mind.
My husband was in the Air Force so we lived in Anchorage 3years until 1954, and it was of course a territory then but we loved it there, I can see why you love it so much. Thank you for being someone who shares our values of Country and family. I have 5 children, but only one girl. I have 1 son that was born at Elmandorf A.B. Our best to you and your wonderful family, and may God continue to bless you and our great Country.
Sincerely yours,
