The 43rd State Blues Misses the Point Again

And you might notice that little Adam only accepts registered commenters because of “spam”. Isn’t that what all of the martyred right-wing sites claim?
At the time, I fired back:
Now, try and leave a comment Binkyboy’s 43rd State Blues blog, along with Liberal Idaho and Daily Kos. Russ requires you to have a Typekey account to comment. You can’t! Why? 43rd State Blues requires registration to comment. I posted about this when a liberal complained about Bryan Fischer shutting down comments on Idaho Values Alliance. Bubblehead showed up and had this observation:
I tried to post a comment over at 43rd State Blues, another liberal Idaho site. I registered successfully, and it lets me log on, but still won’t let me comment. I’ll be interested to see if they have anything to say about conservatives not letting people comment…
Today’s additional comment borders on the clueless as a month later Binkyboy retorts:
Because our site has a distinct policy stated in a very prominant “leftish” position on the page, my stance has been misunderstood in multiple instances. We make no excuse on this site, we are not trying to filter “spam”, we have stated our policy unequivically and if you don’t like it, tough.
The sidebar comment reads:
ABOUT OUR SITE: 43rd State Blues: Democracy for Idaho is a website of, by and for Democrats and those who lean towards Democratic, progressive causes. If you do not fit this broad category, or are simply anti-Democrat, we suggest you find a website more suitable to your ideology. Our house, our rules. Enjoy!
Or in essence to quote the immortal Patrick Swayzee, “Its my way or the highway.” More to the point, Binkyboy says, “Yes, I’m an irrepressible hypocrite who you accused of doing what I’m doing myself and I’m calling attention to that fact.”
The ironic thing is that you won’t get banned from this site for being a liberal, unlike 43rd State Blues which serves as a liberal echo chamber. Binkyboy, folks with glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. I don’t dispute your right to run your “house” the way you see fit, but why do Idaho liberals attack me for running mine the way I see fit or attack Bryan Fischer for how he runs his. It seems like its only your house when you want it to be. Otherwise, its a huge scandal for a Conservative to moderate what happens on the web space they pay for.
Bubblehead has more.
