One thing that Simon attacked Thompson for was backing out of campaigning downtown for fear of the road conditions. Simon and his fellow reporter had no problems. Then again, unlike two reporters, Thompson’s political future depends on being able to complete a bus tour across the state. And caution is definitely not uncalled for.
