The First Labor Day Weekend Meme

A lot of the blogs I read are doing memes. The first is from the Thinklings:

1. Have you ever been told you look like a celebrity? Who?

Yes, though more of a character. Grizzly Adams. Russ once said I looked like a comedian on Comedy Central.

2. If different from above, who should play you in a movie of your life?

I’d probably follow after Jackie Robinson and Babe Ruth and do myself. If not that, then I’d want to give a shot to an unknown rotund actor trying to get his first break.

3. What movie character do you most identify with?

Sometimes I feel like there are some people who think of me as Jar Jar Binks. “Me’sa Conservative gonna walk all over youses liberal orthodoxy.”

Sometimes, I feel like Jefferson Smith from Mister Smith goes to Washington in a couple of ways. The odds are against me, but I fight my heart out, because sometimes a lost cause is the cause worth fighting for. I think of campaigns I fought for, where we not only lost, but lost big time.

I also try to be real. What do I honestly think? I do things that while not immoral are not something you expect political people do, and certainly not Conservatives. I play Frisbee golf, write short stories, do oral interpretations, and shoot public access shows.

4. What literary character do you most identify with?

Sherlock Holmes, because a lot of people don’t understand me and I see things others don’t.

5. What musician or vocal artist do you most identify with?

Oh Gosh, no one. I love Michael Card, but don’t really identify with him. He’s better at what he does, than I’ll ever be at what I do.

6. What biblical figure do you most identify with?

In my most frustrating moments, Ezekiel. In my better moments, Isaiah.

7. What animal best represents you?

Killer Whale. They’re pretty cool and like me, fairly large.

8. What meal or dish best represents you?

Ribs. There’s a lot of meat on those bones, you just have to work to get it.

9. What drink best represents you?

Gingerale.

10. What shirt, dress, outfit, or other piece of apparel most reflects who you are?

The Tartan Kilt. Just like a kilt, my life is pattern of interests, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, passions, and pains, not just a drab monochrome.
