The First Place Colorado Rockies
Posted by Adam Graham in : BaseballBy this time, the Rockies are usually about 1-6, on their way to another 90 losses. This year, I look on the MLB Standings and what lovely thing to do I see, but the Rockies tied with the Giants for 1st Place in the NL West with a 4-2 record. They got the record, not through Coors Field success, but by taking 3 straight road games from the defending NL West Champs. In today’s 10-4 win, Second Year player Cory Sullivan became the first Major Leaguer in more than 50 years to triple twice in an inning. Wow, its good to be a Rockies fan right now, though if the past is any indication, along with Colorado’s Roster deficiencies, they’ll have a losing record by this time next week. By hey, I’ve got a few more hours to enjoy this whole being in first thing.
