I don’t think this proves a lot, but given the play that the media gave, “putting food on your family,” and other Bushisms, it seems there’s a double standard about covering gaffes. We might do better in politics to ignore these type of things, period. After all, part of the reason we think our founders wise is that we didn’t shove cameras in their faces and record every miscue.

However, until the point when no one ever mentions these, unilateral disarmament doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
