Posted by Adam Graham in : Open Trackbacks,Video BloggingIt’s now time for the fourth day of my vacation “Dragnet Marathon” as I present a classic episode of Dragnet for people to enjoy while I’m out of state in the Portland area.
This episode was notable for a number of reasons. In this episode, Joe Friday and Bill Gannon investigate a fellow officer on charges of Armed Robbery. The young office is played by Kent McCord whose career was boosted by this role. McCord would on to co-star in another Jack Webb TV hit, Adam-12. The show was also noted for Joe Friday’s sensational talk on what it meant to be Cop. Friday’s statement would be entered into the congressional record and spread throughout the country.
