The Running Mate and the Messiah

A recent news story suggests that McCain might go left with his running mate. (Hat Tip: Hot Air.)

The Democratic Contest for President is tight that the Democratic National Committee’s decision not to seat Florida’s or Michigan’s delegations may have consequences. Either the convention seats Clinton’s delegates (when there was even an option to vote for Obama in Michigan) or two of the largest states in the nation are shut out of the process.   Newt Gingrich has a reasonable third option: Rerun the Michigan and Florida Democratic Primaries. Somehow, I don’t think it will happen.

Meanwhile, as a senior McCain advisor (he’s surrounded by Conservatives don’t you know) announces that he won’t work for McCain if Obama is the nominee, we take a look at the scary tendency of many to treat Barack Obama as a new age Messiah, thus creating a pseudo-religious cult within the Democratic Party. Democrats for Life aims to create two pro-life parties but can pro-life Democrats be trusted to do the right thing when it matters most, particularly on judges in the US Senate.

Toledo and Berkley businesses are paying the price for their anti-Marine city leaders. I, however agree with Warner Todd Huston. Elected leaders represent you. If you want to pay the price for stupid government leaders, don’t elect stupid government leaders.
