That we have nurses immigrating legally already strengthens Steyn's point in context was that not everyone coming over would be nurses, plumbers and professionals. Nurses come to the US LEGALLY in the thousands every year.

Steyn has serious problems. I seldom read his columns, but two of the last three I have read(All since March) have contained stupid mistakes. The man either can’t fact check, or knowingly puts out rubbish.

The only immigrants Steyn has any serious contact with are probably in his imagination. I’m married to a naturalized US citizen. My SIL and MIL also immigrated to this country and became citizens.
