The reason for this is that its my blog and while I love comments, the primary reason for this blog is to promote my views and writing. That’s my prime directive. If I feel that something is sufficiently inappropriate to make it so I can’t use a post as a vehicle to fulfil my prime directive, than I’m going to step in and protect my property from things that do it harm. I delete 500 comments some days because of offensive content. Though, these are mostly spam.

As the owner of the blog, I’m making a moderative decision without respect to the merits of posting the letter at the Blend to remove it from this space.

First of all let’s get one thing clear. You asked me for this clarification. I made my statement based on your personal words to me. Again it is all about you and not the issue. SO before you take a hiss fit and start whining about me divulging person information, remember you asked me to address this very issue.

I said you suffered a series of failures because that’s what you told me. I took your word. I assumed you were being honest with me. I only found out later that you are an inveterate liar and a fraud. Once again you are caught in your own lies.

You are constantly claiming I take things out of context by only placing a small piece of what you say. So that you may not claim i am doing that here I will present the letter in it’s entirty

Huh ? Again Russ indicates this was a personal attack on President Bush .

But as I pointed out earlier , Russ had claimed it was a general comment and not a personal attack.

The idea and this game of, “How dare you tell Blacks how to hold funerals?” is silly. First of all tastelessness knows no racial boundaries. You know it when you see it. Secondly, you blog on a site that labels a whole bunch of people as not Black enough because they won’t tow the liberal line.

Russ, you’ve got a lot invested in things going poorly in America. What if you’re right about this President but somehow things turn out alright. We lost some forces, we’re gone by the end of ’07 (probably not ’06 like Murtha thinks), we leave behind stable schools. We end up cutting the deficit and Iraq becomes a powerful new ally in the Middle East.

What happens to your world then? What happens to your dream of seeing Bush as an Albatross about our neck? If at the end of the day he succeeds.

Voice, yes. Audience, no. As if Chimpy is reading leftie websites! Your bubble-boy president can’t handle appearing in public unless it is in front of carefully screened partisan audiences. He can’t be bothered by the criticism of protestors kept 1/4 mile away in an oxymoronic “free speech zone”. He doesn’t read the papers. He’s surrounded by nothing but sycophants and lapdogs. And then he appears at CSK’s funeral, not because he actually believes in any of CSK’s legacy (like her steadfast support of LGBT civil rights), but for the photo op and to avoid the fallout his not appearing would cause. He squirms in his chair like an ADHD kid short on Ritalin because deep down he knows the audience knows he’s actively worked AGAINST everything CSK & MLK stood for (how ironic: the C-student 1206 SAT Yale legacy bailed out of every business he bankrupted and any chance of serving in Vietnam by daddy’s rich friends just HATES affirmative action!), and expects NOT to be called out on his BS by Carter and Lowery?

Funerals of political leaders are always going to have a political edge to them. Just appearing or not appearing is itself a political expression. And if you want to talk about an orgy of using funerals for political gain, we need only look at the weeklong GOP propaganda film that was Reagan’s funeral or the whitewashing of Nixon’s legacy at his death to be reminded of that.

And what audacity, what severe elephantitis of the testicles you have to tell people what is and is not appropriate at the funerals of THEIR leaders. Or did you not notice the standing ovation given by the people closest to CSK, the people her and her husband’s lives most touched, at Lowery’s remarks? You, Mr. Scottish Montana Caucasian, DARE to tell hundreds of mostly black people and a black minister what kind of eulogy is appropriate at the funeral of a revered black civil rights leader? (Interesting how you place Dred Pirate Phelps’ anti-gay protests at funerals as a “truth” on par with noting that this administration cares more about war funding than poor funding at the funeral of someone who fought all her life for poor people and gay people.)

In typical Russ fashion, after he gets skewered by his own words he tries to dance out of what he said. But he ends up simply exposing his dishonesty even more.

I also list several examples there and on a thread lower down where Ruses acknowledges that Lowery and Carter are referring to Bush. Then he tries to call them general comments. Once he is exposed he tap dances yet again. If he were not preaching to the choir at Pam’s Blend, he would be lost. He really has been reduced to a spoiled brat stomping his foot when he doesn’t get his own way. The future hold more excuses and more failures.

Also, I’m not surprised, more like disappointed. Like when your alcoholic relative gets back on the hooch.

Also, James thanks for the comment on the title. I was originally going to entitle this “Its About Class” but when I heard Clinton’s statement on “Expose the Left” I chose this instead.

Too bad Ruses is now trying to run from the comments made by Lowery and Carter. Over at Pam’s Blend I challenged him on his claims that politics were being played at President Reagan’s funeral. He is now trying to claim that the remarks mentioned at Mrs. King’s funeral were not directed at President Bush. I point to the comment above as well as several others he made ceding that point. A brief look at Liberal or conservative papers will see that opinion is generally held. Watch how many Liberals run from those words in the future. I mentioned the Wellstone funeral as well. This consistent and deplorable behavior from Democrats will not be lost on those in the middle.

Secondly, you have a Democratic response. Its not our fault that you choose to give that to Tim “Forest Gump” Kaine.

Third, there is a time for everything and a season for everything under the sun. There’s a time to speak your opinion and then there’s a time to shut up and respect that we’re at a funeral.

You understand that. That’s what’s so disgusting about F— P—-s and the G-d H—s F–s Group. They go to funerals and bring what they think is truth to a funeral.

Some things are utterly inappropriate at the wrong setting. A funeral is not a political ra ra rally. What happened was in utter bad news and the Reverend Lowery and Jimmy Carter should both be ashamed.

Sorry that Rev. Lowery expressing a truth that Coretta Scott King herself expressed many times over is perceived as a partisan attack by you. But I suppose that the Truth would be seen as an attack when you support the Party of Lies.
