Thursday Night Blog Round Up
Posted by Adam Graham in : PoliticsLarry over at Blame Bush has a hilarious piece where he nails the leftist take on the Cheney issue:
As much as he tries to deny it, Dick Cheney’s daughter is a lesbian. Furthermore, he’s 100% responsible for what happened to that poor man. A human being – nay, a Conservative – was seriously injured in what appears to be an act of senseless violence, for the lack of any offensive cartoons to justify it. If Whittington succumbs to his wounds, Cheney could quite possibly be indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of criminal negligence. He would have no choice but to resign in disgrace, leaving the GOP seriously weakened come election time. Hillary’s chances of winning back the White House in 2008 would increase tenfold. A new progressive President would usher in a new era of peace and prosperity, free from want, need, or sexual responsibility. With a Democrat-controlled senate and liberal Supreme Court to provide checks and balances against the three token Republicans left in Congress, America could at last realize Harry Belafonte’s friend’s dream of total economic equality among all of Gaia’s creatures (except for those who are more equal than others). Indeed, it would a be virtual Heaven on Earth.

I know I’m supposed to be concerned about the growing Islamic violence, but my first reaction when I saw this post on Michelle Malkin was to crack up laughing. Islam has declared war on Colonel Sanders and Ronald McDonald. These people are nuts and look stupid. I know its a serious issue but these pictures have a dark humorous aspect to them.
Of course, according to PETA, both Ronald and the Colonel have killed more people than Islam. (If you count chickens and cows as people.) j/k.
On a more serious stone, Islamic protestors stoned a female reporter for not wearing a head covering. The woman now faces up to three years prison time if convicted of “disturbing the peace.” Where are the women’s rights liberals when you need them? I guess they’re busy reporting the next AFA boycott as a sign of the rise of the fourth Reich. (Hat Tip: Instapundit.)
I blogged about the newspaper that refused to run non-graphic pro-life Ads (featuring ultrasound pictures.) According to Pro-Life Blogs there’s been a change of heart brought about by public pressure.
Finally, encouraging news from Stacy Harp over at Persecution Blog. The Internet is allowing the Gospel to get into Middle East Countries that are traditionally closed to the Gospel. This is huge. Here’s a graph from the story:
Strategic Resource Group (SRG) helps organizations reach out to the lost inside the 10/40 Window. SRG reports Christian websites are receiving nearly 9 million hits per month from the Middle East. One Christian organization hosting chat rooms for Arabic-speaking web users estimates that more than 42,000 people visit those sites daily.
About 2,000 Arabic language Bibles are downloaded from the Internet each month. One organization estimates that 20 people per month are giving their hearts to Christ as a result of learning about the Christian faith on these websites.
Praise God and pass the mouse and keyboard.
