To the Rescue

Before Dirk Kempthorne taking office as Interior Secretary was finalized Diana Pauls had this post:

Am I the only person who is worried about Kempthorne’s nomination for Secretary of Interior? I’m not seeing any editorials or letters to the editor in my region, nor does it seem to be much of a topic of conversation around here. It is frightening to think of the damage that he will be capable of doing in this position that will take generations to undo (if it would even be possible!).

Oh my gosh, Dick Kempthorne sounds like a big time super villain, it will take generations to repair the damage he does in 2 1/2 years, nay, it may never be fixed for all eternity. Who will save us now? Only one man!

I remember in the aftermath of the Clinton Administration, we had devestating forest fires in Glacier Park, Montana, you could hardly breathe because environmentalists weren’t letting loggers in for anything. You couldn’t even breathe in the park. Such a nightmare has become less prevalent in Montana and elsewhere as common sense has returned with Republican stewardship.
