The reason it&#039;s important to recognize this is because evil isn&#039;t always so easy to spot. It&#039;s the mistaken idea that having &lt;i&gt;ostensibly&lt;/i&gt; good intentions means you can&#039;t be evil that accounts for a lot of the moral equivalence nonsense we see so much of. Just because someone can justify their actions to themselves doesn&#039;t mean they&#039;re justified.</description>
