I think Alan, your problem is that you miss the main point of what Brandi's all about. She's about standing for righteousness in the public square, including not imprisoning people for their beliefs. In your mind in order to support any rights for anyone oppressed, you have to support gay marriage.

Are you saying that Ms. Swindell is an activist for freedom from persecution? If so, I'd expect to see her demonstrating is support of all kinds of persecuted minorities, including homosexuals. Clearly not the case.

I think you're saying that she is supporting freedom from religious persecution. Let people worship and believe as they please.

If she truly supports this, where was she when the Idaho Humanists were kicked off the front of the Statehouse steps in favor of a Christian group?

Ms. Swindell's main causes are anti-abortion, and "sexual integrity." Supporting the Falun Gong as well is fine, but since it is unrelated to her main causes there must be some reason to support it, as it takes her away from her main mission.

Self promotion is also fine, as long as it is recognized as such. See my post about Bryan "Al Sharpton" Fischer and his self promotion. The same points apply to Ms. Swindell.
