What the Democrat Majority’s Been Up To

A reminder of why the Democrats don’t need another vote in Congress, be it Larry Grant or Rand Lewis. They’ll vote to keep big spenders like Jack Murtha in power.

It’s “Democratic” majority. Democrat majority is just a cheap shot insult. You want to be called Adam. Callling you Ada would be a similar cheap shot, just a cheesy attempt to belittle.

    Try to rise above pettiness.

Alan, you know what’s hilarious about this. If I were to state what this video shows, I’d say, “The Democrat Majority has broken their promises, they’re corrupt, serving up our tax dollars to special interests, and robbing our country’s future through ungodly amounts of pork doled out to support the careers of shortsighted old men who care nothing about our country.” Your response: “Now hold on there! That’s Democratic majority.” It says something that you don’t address the substance of the issue. And tell me what’s democratic about holding up a vote on an Amendment, then paying off members of Congress to change their vote with money from the leadership PAC. If Democrats want to be called Democratic, than by gosh they can start by acting like it.

Yeah, Rep. Sali’s been really effective at keeping spending down himself — I look forward to your post showing all the amendments to cut spending he’s been the deciding vote on. No, Rep. Sali is more interested in going around sharing his personal opinion that there should be a religious test for federal officeholders. And addressing the substance of your comment — I really don’t think the Democratic majority has done any worse than the Republicans did as far as spending goes. Running on a platform of “the Democrats are just as bad as we were” probably won’t get the Republicans back into the majority, and my district would be better served with a Congressman who has a voice in the majority party.

Bubbs, I got a post coming up on spending Amendments tomorrow. I guess you’d think we are best served by saying, “Idaho acknowledges that we will be owned by special interests who freely raid our treasury and raise taxes to pay for profligate spending. We have no hope of reforming this and therefore would like to be an accessory to the death of our nation.” &lt

The Dems are demonstrably worse, particularly when it comes to huge spending iniatatives. Your average Republican has support 43% of the anti-pork Amendment, your average Democrat, 2%. Unlike the Republicans, the Dems have no reform wing. Their reform wing is one Congressman from Tennessee. Republicans learned their overspending from watching Democrats in office. It’s like that old drug commercials. “Where did you learn to do this stuff?” I learned it from watching you.

I didn’t view the video. I didn’t get past the intro insult. And I won’t, until Democrats get the minimal respect of calling them by the name they choose for themselves. Starting off with a cheap shot cheesy insult just signals to me that the post isn’t to be taken seriously. Accordingly, I don’t take it seriously enough to waste the time to view the video.

Again, rise above the pettiness. Engage the issues seriously. Avoid name calling; it’s beneath you. Maybe you can tell that this issue really pis****, er, irritates me.

Yeah, Alan, because it’s all style and no substance with the corrupt Democrat party. If you’re going to get all bent out of shape about Democrat Party, then forget it. I’m not going to waste my life pleasing the inappeasable.
