Will Otter Run Again?

Yes, Otter will be 70, but I think he’s fairly vigorous. I think it’s the expectation of most folks in the State that he’ll run again. It’s certainly what Jim Risch thought when he ran for the U.S. Senate. I couldn’t imagine Risch running if he thought the Governor’s job would be re-opening. If he retires now, many party leaders will try to anoint whoever he points as Lieutenant Governor, and it’ll set off an intraparty fight.
